These ovens boast a carbonization chamber height exceeding 6.0 meters and a volume surpassing 38.5 cubic meters. The main purpose of coke:

1. Coke is the quintessential product of the coking process. In most nations, over 90% of coke is dedicated to blast furnace ironmaking. It replaces charcoal in iron smelting, paving the way for modernized large blast furnaces and marking a significant milestone in metallurgical history.

2. It plays a vital role in the casting of copper, lead, zinc, titanium, antimony, and other non-ferrous metals in blast furnace smelting, serving as a reducing agent, a source of heat, and providing structural support.
