Pearl Coke Metallurgical Coke Size 8-15mm & 12-20mm

Pearl Coke is graded hard metallurgical coke, a widely adopted naming convention among Indian and South Asian metallurgical buyers, defined by specific particle size ranges. It is produced through high-temperature carbonisation of coking coal, featuring high fixed carbon, stable mechanical strength and low impurity content.

Distinguished from other coke grades by screening specifications: blast furnace coke refers to large lump coke above 25mm for main blast furnace ironmaking; nut coke covers medium-sized particles; while Pearl Coke represents smaller-sized metallurgical hard coke. We supply two standard sizes: 8–15mm and 12–20mm.

Thanks to its suitable grain size and consistent quality, Pearl Coke cannot bear heavy burden inside large blast furnaces, yet it performs excellently in smaller thermal equipment. It is broadly utilised in cupola furnaces for cast iron production, induction furnaces, ferroalloy manufacturing such as silico manganese smelting, and serves as carbon raiser in steel plants.

It should be clearly differentiated from Semi Coke (Lam Coke). Pearl Coke is high-temperature metallurgical hard coke, whereas Lam Coke is low-temperature carbonised semi-coke with higher reactivity; the two products have different physical properties and applicable scenarios.

Our Pearl Coke can be packed in jumbo bags. Shipment options include 20ft / 40ft full containers or bulk vessel transport.
